1. That’s too funny. People just refuse to understand significant figures and orders of magnitude and scale. A while back I was chatting with the radical lefties at the Daily Kos and I happened to mention recent poll showing that atheists were about 1% of the American population. The resulting shitstorm was a wonder to behold: NO WAY YOU LYING SUPERSTITIOUS FUNDAMENTALIST PIG! PEW HAS AN AGENDA AND UNBIASED POLLS PROVE THAT ATHEISTS ARE TWO PERCENT OF THE POPULATION! Which means, even they agree that atheists are about 1% of the population. A poll showing a leap to 50%, now that would be worth discussing.
