People who know their German WWII uniforms much better than yours truly say that these are SS uniforms. Trump appears to have used this stock photo, so at least they’re SS re-enactors and not actual SS soldiers. And, you know, in Trump’s defense, the tags on that photo only include terms like “fascism” and “German culture,” so there was really no way to know that those guys weren’t cosplaying American GIs.
Trump leads the GOP field nationally in the latest poll, though you can’t discount the strong possibility that some of the people responding to that poll were Democrats having a little fun. Meanwhile, JEB seems to be following the “Mitt” Romney “nobody likes me but most of them will eventually settle for me” path to the nomination.
