Lebanon detains Mrs. al-Baghdadi and child

"Seriously, kafir sinners, take my wife...please! Thank you, I'll be here until the Mahdi returns. Don't eat the pork chops or it will go very badly for you."
“Seriously, kafir sinners, take my wife…please! Thank you, I’ll be here until the Mahdi appears. Don’t eat the pork chops or it will go very badly for you.”

Well this is certainly interesting, although I doubt it will have any long-term implications:

Lebanese security forces have detained a wife and young child of Islamic State (IS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi near the border with Syria, the army says.

The pair were picked up by military intelligence after entering Lebanon with forged papers 10 days ago.

Baghdadi’s wife – identified as an Iraqi national – is being questioned at the defence ministry.

Nobody can seem to figure out if the child is a boy or girl, but I don’t think it matters. The wife likely knows very little or nothing about ISIS operations (it’s not even clear when she last saw Baghdadi), and you won’t do the counter-insurgency cause any favors by harshly interrogating a woman and child or by parading them around like prisoners of war. Lebanon will likely try to trade them for a group of around 20 Lebanese soldiers (2 of whom have since been murdered) who were captured by a joint ISIS/Jabhat al-Nusra force in August in Arsal. If it gets those soldiers released without having to trade any ISIS/Nusra fighters in exchange, that seems like a good outcome.
